Seven more inches should answer a specific need
The additional length is approximately 12 percent, calculated as seven divided by 57. That can be a relevant difference for front-to-back room, but it does not tell you whether your dog fits either surface. It also leaves the published width unchanged. If your concern is lateral clearance between the side structures, choosing X-Large simply because it sounds bigger does not answer it.
